Over 240 years under our belts

You know you’re getting the best

Our commitment to quality and fully-documented processes has always been at the forefront of everything we do, whether manufacturing camouflage nets to stringent UK MoD technical specifications or working to the Marine Scotland technical standard for Scottish finfish aquaculture.

Specialised in-house training is of core importance to the Knox business, with all of our net service staff undertaking a theoretical and practical examination on the use of coatings from Steen-Hansen.

This year, we have upgraded our quality management system to be compliant with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

Only the best quality

Only first grade yarn is used to produce netting used in Knox nets, fully stabilised and with the addition of inhibitor to minimise degradation by UV light. Before being cut, all nylon sheet netting is dyehouse set to eliminate any possibility of future shrinkage. All netting produced by our partners, Garware-Wall Ropes, is similarly tested.

Customised for your requirements

Every net produced by Knox is manufactured to technical CAD drawings produced in-house in consultation with the customer.

Full traceability

We tag each fish cage net with its own unique no. and record original manufacturing data and subsequent service test results on our database, building up a full net life history that the fish farmer can access when required by farm auditors.
