Our service offering has developed from small beginnings into a highly-engineered technical plant, built to maximise net life. Nets can be returned on a contract basis for a full service package or sent to us for simple repairs. Repair history is easy to keep track of, with secure online access to the Knox net database.
All returned nets are washed and sterilised in a hot water process, with strict segregation protocols to avoid cross-company contamination. At this stage, samples are taken from above and below the waterline and the base of the net for strength testing, with results being entered into our database to compare with original net breaking strains.
Nets are closely inspected for necessary repairs by our dedicated service team, with full netting patches being inserted where necessary. Nets can be shallowed or deepened where required, or completely re-designed with new bases.
If antifouling coatings are part of your fouling management strategy, nets are treated as the final part of the process, and fully dried before despatch. Net polish, to assist with abrasion, can be applied either alone or in conjunction with antifoulant.

The porous and robust X12 material from GWRL is now being tested in Scottish waters, with monitoring showing better oxygen exchange than with standard polyester material.
